Start to Code Your Future Today!
With a little help from your friends!
Hey friends 👋,
Beginnings are hard, but I feel it’s the perfect time to create my own newsletter. It will definitely help me to spread the word about learning how to code and changing careers to tech/software engineering. 🌈
Six years ago I took a big decision that changed my whole life for the better.
I decided to take full control of my life and do only what I’m most passionate about. I quit my job as a Civil Engineer and I started to learn how to code on freeCodeCamp.
I got my first job as a frontend engineer in 6 months as I quickly learned the ropes to become it. During this process, I learned how important it is to be part of the community, to grow with your peers, and to find people in the industry to provide you with a bit of guidance and mentoring.
That was my “secret recipe” that I insist on constantly sharing. Helping others is so fulfilling! ❤️
I felt so thankful to the community that since my early days as a Software Engineer I decided to thrive by leveraging my peers who were dealing with the growing pains of the process.
During my career as a Software Engineer I organized Coffee & Code events in my local community and I also started to write technical articles. In 2018 I earned a freeCodeCamp Top Contributor badge.
Since then, I started to mentor people for free. This provided me with a lot of insights and knowledge, as teaching is not more than a learning experience.
I ended up making lots of friends around the world. I also helped a few to get their first job in the industry or to get a computer to proceed with their studies.
I created a movement, called wecraftcode, aiming not only to help people to learn how to code but also to improve a bit their soft skills and their values as human beings.
We Craft Code “is a small group of people who leverage learning and programming through motivation, mentoring, and craftsmanship.”

More recently I wrote a book, called 🔥 “Code Your Future: a Guide to Career Change and Success in Software Engineering” 🔥.
Now it’s the perfect time to start sharing my knowledge acquired over the years to help you get the proper slipstream to take the leap of faith.
